Job Title: Facilities Assistant
Location: New Barn School, Berkshire
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks per year
As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our close-knit team at New Barn School.

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Assistant to join our team at New Barn School. As a crucial member of our staff, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the functionality, cleanliness, and safety of our school campus. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational experience of our students and support the overall mission of our school.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairing tasks.
- Conducting regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the school.
- Performing regular cleaning duties.
- Assisting with grounds keeping.
- Maintaining outdoor recreational areas and equipment.
- Supporting safety protocols and procedure.
- Conducting safety inspections and reporting any hazards or concerns.
- Assisting with emergency preparedness drills and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to facilitate the smooth operation of the school environment.
Essential:
- Full UK driver’s licence.
- Good Numeracy and Literacy skills.
Desirable:
- Any additional qualifications pertinent to the job role.
